Analysis of indirect field oriented control in long primary parallel-connected double-sided linear induction motor

The long primary double sided linear induction motor (DSLIM) has been used in many fields. The structure of parallel connected DSLIM is similar to multi-asynchronous motor fed by single inverter, but the control method is different due to the DSLIM parameters change. This paper analyses the characteristics of motor module in the operation condition of parallel connection, analyses the thrust fluctuation caused by the change of motor parameters in the movement. Then we propose a modified control scheme to restrain the fluctuation by increasing the exciting current and decreasing the thrust current. The simulation and experiments results verified the accuracy of analysis.
