Probability analysis of error for UWB systems with suboptimal receivers in multipath environment

The paper addresses the probability analysis of error for UWB systems with suboptimal receivers in multipath environment. The UWB channel model proposed by IEEE 802.15.3a is composed of clusters of paths with delays distributed according to two Poisson models and lognormal distributed powers. The performance of UWB Rake receiver with maximal ratio combining and Transmitted-Reference (TR) UWB system with autocorrelation receiver in UWB channel model is in theory worked out respectively.
