Fuzzy model usage and readability in identification for control

Fuzzy modelling has interpretability of the obtained models is a fundamental goal. The ¿local model¿ paradigm has gained widespread acceptance, in particular the local linear models. mainly in the form of Takagi-Surgeon fuzzy systems. This paper discusses some issues regarding readability of the obtained model and points out the limitations in applicability of home control design techniques based on them, even if ensuring ¿global stability¿ from a theoretical point of view.
