Architectures and Protocols of Cognitive Radio Networks

Cognitive radio networks have the abilities of utilizing spectrum dynamically, agilely and intelligently, and improving the efficiency of spectrum usage. Consequently, both the protocol and architectural designs for cognitive radio networks is very crucial. The network architectures in existing systems included contents are CORVUS system introduced in America, Wireless Regional Area Network (WRAN) based on IEEE 802.22 as well as the wireless Mesh network supporting multi-channel and multi-interface; related network protocols are of CORVUS system, the XG system for military applications, and WRAN.
