Developing Information-literate Students: Finding out How Well New Zealand Secondary Teachers are Equipped to Achieve This Aim

The significance of information literacy has been accepted, both overseas and in New Zealand and hence to make students develop information skills, teachers need to be information-literate and equipped to teach such skills. A report is presented on the findings from a pilot research project that investigated this subject with teachers from one Auckland secondary school and ways in which the original investigation could be improved are also examined.
