STUDY OF THE MATHEMATICAL MORPHOLOGICAL FILTER IN SUPPRESSING PERIODIC NARROW BANDWIDTH NOISE OF PD

It is difficult to suppress effectively electro magnetic interferences and noise in partial discharge on-lin monitoring. In the paper, the nonlinear mathematica morphology is applied for suppressing PD’s periodic narro bandwidth noise. Based on classical Least Mean Square (LMS algorithm, a kind of filter with structuring elements adaptive morphological open and closing operators combination i designed. Simulations and fielding measuring result show tha its NNR is more than 60dB and 20dB. So it is effective fo suppressing narrow bandwidth noise and fit perfectly for th application in PD on-line monitoring.
