DSP Based control of constant frequency and average current mode of Boost converter for power factor correction (PFC)

This paper presents development and implementation of DSP based control of constant frequency and average current mode of Boost converter for power factor correction of Single phase low and medium power applications. It is implemented through average current mode control operation of boost converter with feedforward and PI controller with saturation correction scheme. Digital controller with constant frequency, discontinuous and continuous mode of boost converter operation for universal line voltage applications is presented. The proposed method exposes the enhanced performance and comparing with existing methods.
