Building Little Humanoid Using Servo Units with Super-Micro Processors

This paper describes a development of servo units with super-micro processors and small-sized humanoid with 34 D.O.F.s with developed units. Distributed processor system as robot controller has been using to develop robots with many actuators and sensors, however previous distributed system has to modify its configuration considerably when researchers add new actuators and sensors. We have proposed intelligent device with each robot device has its own processor and connected through bus network, which has able to add new devices with out change configuration of other devices. We developed servo units with supermicro processor with 3×3[mm] size, and small sized humanoid.
