Predicting Future Rewards

Goal-directed behavior affects all aspects of society, but unraveling which brain areas are responsible remains a challenge. In their Perspective, [Richmond][1] and colleagues discuss new work ([ Matsumoto et al .][2]) showing that the lateral and medial prefrontal cortex of monkey brain controls several different aspects of goal-directed behavior.
