Residual analysis for the diagnosis of hybrid electrical energy systems

This paper is about faults detection and isolation for multisource renewable energy systems by aims of residuals synthesis and analysis. The major contribution is the design of a set of residuals according to a variable structure state space model. The residuals switch depending on the sources coupling so that the proposed FDI method is robust to the mode commutations and sensible to the offset faults that affect sensors. The sensitivity of the residuals according to the parameters uncertainties is also discussed. We simulate the method on the topology used for the experimental technologic center developed by GREAH in Fecamp, France.
