A new three-phase diode rectifier for aircraft variable frequency AC electrical power system

A new circuit of power converter for aircraft variable frequency AC electrical power system is discussed. The three-phase diode rectifier is rearranged by using three single-phase diode rectifiers. The power factor of each single-phase rectifier is corrected by using a passive correction technique based on a resistive-capacitive branch connected at the DC-side of the rectifier. Analyses of performances are developed with the help of MATLAB/Simulink. Some considerations on different working conditions are also developed.
