Graphene nanostrip lines: Dispersion and attenuation analysis

Propagation and attenuation properties of modes supported by graphene nano-ribbons placed on top of a grounded dielectric substrate are investigated by means of a spectral-domain Method-of-Moments approach together with a dyadic description of the graphene conductivity obtained based on semi-classical and quantum-mechanical arguments. Such a description takes into account the possible presence of static biasing fields or spatial-dispersion effects. The attenuation features are investigated and are compared to those of similar metal structures.
