An Ontology Based Benchmarking Platform for Public Transportation Control Systems

Abstract Many researchers have been interested in designing efficient decision support systems (DSS) to maintain the performance of public transport systems at acceptable levels. Unfortunately, there is still a lack of systems that enable the assessment and benchmarking of such DSS. In this paper, we suggest an ontology based benchmark system for the assessment of public transport control systems. It will enable the storage and the reuse of knowledge related to scenarios and performance indicators. The suggested platform will be developed using open source software (multi-agent platform and simulation tools). The architecture and its main modules are presented.
