Mimicking Posttranslational Modifications of Proteins

Strategies for the synthesis of pure posttranslationally modified proteins or their mimics (for example, glycosylation or prenylation) have been recently developed. In his Perspective, [Davis][1] discusses how these strategies are allowing the creation of useful biomolecular probes and how they may offer a potential route to new protein pharmaceuticals.
