An overview on probabilistic aspects of harmonics in power systems

This paper gives a brief review of past work conducted by the task force on probabilistic aspects of harmonics. This includes sources of errors when taking harmonic measurements, various ways to describe recorded data in statistical terms, tools for calculating the sum of harmonic currents generated by a cluster of loads, and voltage harmonics resulting from dispersed nonlinear loads in a power network. The material presented was published by the task force in a two-part article in the past.
