Design of a Rehabilitation Training System for Older Adults with Mild Cognitive Impairment

Mild cognitive impairment is a preclinical stage of most dementias while Alzheimer's Disease is a most common form of dementia which frequently occurs in elderly population. Given the precipitous anticipation for dementia prevalence and successful practices for training to cognition rehabilitation, it's significant to detect and intervene in early stage. So this study introduced the MMSE to screen older adults with MCI as a “test group” while invited a “control group” in. Subsequently, a rehabilitation system was designed to train user's cognition abilities. After a 15-day experimental use of the system, another MMSE investigation suggested a positive performance of “test group” who were required to join the 15-day experiment. Consequently, the ultimate result proved the system efficient for cognitive rehabilitation.
