Inthis workthehighspeeddatatransmitters for wireless applications hasbeeninvestigated. Theworkreviews concepts andtechniques related totheeffect ofmodulation accuracyon highspeeddownlink packet access(HSDPA)radio linkperformance. TheErrorVectorMagnitude (EVM)results are simulated anddiscussed byusingthetestmodelswithout HSDPA(test model1)andwithHSDPA(test model5)defined in 3rdgeneration partnership project (3gpp) (11forRF partby introducing some non-linearity inthetestsignal passing through RF transmitter (RFTX)chain. Inthisworkfromthefigures5 (PSat = 10.1dBm),6(PSat = 13.2dBm)andthediscussions based on 3gppspecs(EVM = 17.5 % without HSDPA and12.5 % with HSDPA)itcanbeconcluded thattheRF TX pathgottobe(PSat =3.1dBm)more linear tosupport theHSDPA.
