Vibration Reduction Analysis of the Dynamic Vibration Absorber on the Flexible Carbody of Railway Vehicles

To suppress the vibration of the flexible carbody of railway vehicle,it's proposed to install a dynamic vibration Absorber(DVA) under the carbody underframe.Taking the carbody as a uniform Euler beam supported on the secondary suspension,including the rigid-flexible coupling of the structure damping and the DVA,a vertical dynamics model was built to research the effects of DVA on the vehicle ride quality with the fast ride quality calculation algorithm.The Ride quality of a typical high-speed passenger car installed with DVA was analyzed. The results show that DVA with optimal parameters can effectively control the flexible vibration of the carbody,and the higher the DVA mass is,the better the vibration reduction effects will be.When the mass of DVA is 1 000 kg and the first bending frequency of the carbody is as low as 6.5 Hz,the vehicle can still achieve very good ride quality even though the running speed is as high as 250 km·h-1.
