Design and Research on a Frequency Synthesizer for UHF RFID Reader/Writer

In this paper,the air RF interface specification requirements for ISO/IEC18000-6C、 EPC Global C1G2 and ETSI standards that are used for UHF RFID system are briefly introduced.The sigma-dalta fractional-N PLL synthesizer is adopted.The LMX2541 and ADF4360-8 are used to realize a set of frequency synthesizer that is used for UHF RFID reader/writer,and ranged in 860～960MHz frequency hopping.It is indicated by simulation and experimental results that the various technical indices reaches or exceeds the requirements specified in the Technical Requirements of ISO/IEC18000-6C、EPC Global C1G2 and ETSI standards,and meet future universal UHF RFID reader/writer applications.
