Simulation model development of three-stage synchronous generator for aircraft power systems based on modelica

In this paper, a three-stage generator model is established based on Modelica/Dymola. Start from the mathematical model of the generator, the main generator (MG) and the main exciter (ME) are remodeled by using the Modelica language. Then, the generator control unit (GCU), the pre-exciter (PE) and the rotating rectifier model are built using components in standard library of Dymola. And Dymola is also utilized to compile the model and simulate the system. Finally, the simulation results verified the model.
