Technological Equipment Automated Control System (TEACS) is one of the most important components, which has the role of automatic control of the technological equipment (TE) in a launch complex. Since its configuration is composed of a variety of electrical and electronic systems, it should receive the electrical power from a main power supply system and exchange the signals with related systems. In general, the grounding system is critical for the stable operation and safety of operating personnel. Electrical systems such as power supply equipment, lightning protection system, communication systems, lighting equipment, and closed-circuit monitoring facility will have mutual influences either directly or indirectly. Therefore, the electrical grounding system should be designed effectively in order to prevent or minimize the interferences among them. This paper introduces the design approach of TEACS grounding system and Launch Complex (LC) for Korea Space Launch Vehicle II (KSLV-II), taking into account interfaces with the adjacent facilities in LC.
