Preface The Standards for Tests and Measurements in Physical Therapy Practice is a cohesive and well-organized document, complete with operational definitions and primer. During a first reading, one might readily conclude that the entire work is an academic treatise, esoteric in nature and dedicated to a select handful of clinicians with the intellectual capacity and interest to glean meaning from its organization. These Standards, however, represent far more than can be processed by a cursory glance or a preoccupied mind.
