The IEA's Data on Combustible Renewables and Waste from 1973 to 2000

This study examines the utilization of combustible renewables and waste in the world from 1973 to 2000 based on the International Energy Agency (IEA) databases. The main findings are that: 1). It would seem there is a wealth of technological experience on the utilization of combustible renewables and waste in the OECD countries. However, there is just limited utilization of this technological experience in the Non-OECD countries. 2). The data on the utilization of combustible renewables and waste from 1996 to 2000 in the IEA databases may have not regulated. It should be cautious when these figures are used.
