System identification via Fourier series

In this paper, the Fourier-series approach is extended to solve the problem of system identification. The algorithms presented are similar to those already derived for other orthogonal functions. Since most elements of the Fourier operational matrix are zero, there is a considerable saving in computing time and storage. In addition, the present method is simpler to use than others.
