Optimal design of interior type permanent magnet synchronous motors based on magnetic equivalent circuit network method

The optimal design method presented in this paper is Taguchi's approach and GA method which is applied the first time to determine the optimum design parameters of Interior Permanent Magnet (IPM) BLDC motor. The result show that GA and Taguchi's design method is a very efficient and effective approach in designing IPM BLDC motors for high performance. The magnetic equivalent circuit network method proposed in this paper speed calculation process up in analysis.
