On Instantaneous Power Distributions of Single-Carrier FDMA Signals

This letter analyzes the instantaneous power distributions of band-limited single-carrier frequency-division multiple access (SC-FDMA) signals. Both the localized FDMA (LFDMA) and interleaved FDMA (IFDMA) signals are considered and it is shown that their instantaneous power has equivalent distribution in the band-limited signaling regime. With a slight modification of signal model, approximate distributions are also numerically calculated by a conventional technique developed for general pulse-shaped single-carrier signals with linear modulation.
