Computational Investigation of two Hybrid Vehicle Energy Managements

The energy management in a hybrid vehicle distributes the power energetically favourably on the two drives of such vehicles. At the Institute for Electrical Energy Conversion at TU Darmstadt two different hybrid vehicle energy managements for the through the road (TTR) layout were conceived and compared in terms of fuel saving potentials. To achieve this comparison, energy consumption of existing conventional vehicles and theoretical hybrid vehicles were computed for selected driving cycles.
