Compressive sensing of electrocardiogram

Abstract Electrocardiogram (ECG) is an important diagnostic biosignal, indicative of many signs of health. Recent advances in biological data processing require improvements in the ability to sense, transfer, and process ECG signals. Compressive Sensing is a novel technique that reduces redundant volumes of signal data. To accomplish this, Compressive Sensing minimally samples the signal in a sparse essential compressed size, allowing it to recover a high-resolution signal from low-resolution sparsed samples. This chapter is a review of Compressive Sensing as applied to ECG based medical systems.
