Application of autonomous decentralized system in the automatic system of traction substation

The theory of ADS (Autonomous Decentralized system) has been applied in an automatic system of traction substation. Because of its characteristics of autonomy and decentralization, the control unit and the protection unit must be designed to run in the same environment of both hardware and software and CAN bus must also be taken as communication network. The division of data field is based on the mutuality of facilities. All the units except the local management unit and the communication unit, can be reconfigured so function of these units can be altered easily. The local management unit configures new units when the system is to be expanded. Three communication mode, point-to-point, multicast, broadcast communication mode is used.
