Effective Mentoring and Training Techniques Adopted by Various Indian Banks for New Entrants

This report focuses on identifying the effective ways for mentoring and training new entrants in the various Indian Banks that is Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, ICICI, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank and State Bank of India. This report also gives an idea about their strengths in the area of mentoring and training along with the gaps available in same area. This may act as the basis of improvement in mentoring and training activities for the new entrants. One questionnaire was designed and surveyed among these bank's human resource departments. After that survey, the data was analysed by applying appropriate research methods, which depicted the clear picture of current training and mentoring programme in these banks. In the end, some suggestions are given which will help these banks to improve their mentoring and training programmes wherever required. This report and the finding are totally unbiased and genuine.
