A small signal parallel computer model for thermal power plant components

The realistic and accurate simulation of complex systems demands a high computing power. This gave rise to the concept of distributed interactive simulation, based on a network of simulation facilities. This simulation concept eliminates the use of a central server, thus reducing the simulation latency. In this paper, the concept is extended, using standard concepts of distributed computing, to the simulation of continuous processes in a thermal power plant comprising of linear and nonlinear elements.
