Modellierung von Kraftfahrzeug-Batterien unter Berücksichtigung von hochdynamischen und Langzeit-Effekten

The number of electrical and electronic systems and their power demand is rising nearly exponentially in modern cars. Additionally, the ratio between the peak power and the average power is increasing for many new applications. Therefore the electrical power supply in automotives becomes a more complex system. Besides the function of the individual systems, the interaction between all of them has to be considered. The rapid increase of the mean power consumption asks for an efficient battery management. This is important in order to ensure a sufficient state of charge and to extend the lifetime of the battery. Complex system simulations of the complete power network are required for the design of the subsystems and for the overall performance test. The battery as the central energy storage element is the most important element. For this reason, a new battery model was developed. This covers high dynamic short term effects as well as the long term behaviour with high precision.
