Numerical Simulation of the Radiator Based on CFD

A steady-state turbulent-flow mathematical model was constituted for air side channel of the same shape and size of gilled tube radiator and tube-and-fin radiator. Resistance characteristics and surface heat transfer characteristics of two different types of radiator CFD (computational fluid dynamics) modeling, simulation and experimental results are in good agreement. The numerical simulation results are compared, the results show that the air-side resistance of tube-and-fin water radiator is slightly larger than that of the gilled tube radiator, but its thermal performance has been greatly improved compared with the original.
