Uplink and downlink beamforming in two-way relay networks

In this paper, we consider a two way relay network containing two single antenna transceivers and a MIMO relay. We consider a two stage design process, first by obtaining soft estimate of the transmitted signal through receiver beamformer and then designing transmitter beamformers. We minimize the relay transmit power (dissipated in the relay) subject to two constrains on the transceivers received signal to noise ratios(SNRs).
