The invention discloses a receiving and sending method of system messages related to specific business and a device, so as to enable a cell to provide a plurality of kinds of difference services at the same time. The receiving method comprises steps: UE (user equipment) supporting the specific business receives system messages through a SI-RNTI (system information radio network temporary identifier); the UE judges whether the current cell supports the specific business though the system messages, and if the UE judges the current cell supports the specific business, the system messages related to the specific business are received. The sending method comprises steps: network side equipment uses the SI-RNTI to broadcast system messages and indicates the current cell whether to support the specific business through the content in the system messages; and the network side equipment uses the preset and specific RNTI to broadcast the system messages related to the specific messages in the cell supporting the specific business. By adopting the method and the device, a plurality of kinds of difference services in a cell can be realized at the same time, and the problem of compatibility can be avoided.
