During the design of tensile membrane structures,wind-resistant design is a significant and complex problem.On the basis of the gust loading factor method introduced by A.G.Davenport,this paper proposes some improved measures according to the wind-induced response characteristics of tensile membrane structures,and gives an applied wind-resistant design method suitable for these structures.Systematic parameter analysis of wind-induced response of several typical forms of membrane structures is performed with nonlinear random simulation method in time domain,and some response rules are summarized.Moreover,a formula of the dynamic coefficient is suggested using the proposed wind-resistant method.
