An improved electronic activity monitor for schistosomes

Abstract An instrument for monitoring the motor activity of schistosoties has been newly redesigned. This multiple “microactivity cage”, operating on photocell interruptions, requires no adjustment of light thresholds even for very small, nearly transparent subjects. Data are stored in an internal memory and entered into a small computer on request. Results with this instrument are similar to those obtained with earlier, less convenient instruments.
