Hearing support system for the hearing impaired

General hearing aids are used to improve the hearing of sounds after hearing loss and amplify sounds that are difficult to hear. However, various problems are incurred, such as when the listener changes the setting of the hearing aid depending on the distance from the speaker, making it difficult to hear even if a change is made. To solve this problem, a voice transmission and distribution device using FM waves has been developed in Switzerland. However, this method has not been widely used in regular classes owing to its usability, the application of radio waves, and problems with price and maintenance. In addition, people who cannot recognise the specific frequency of the voice are unable to use it. To solve this problem, in this study, a hearing aid system that can be easily used by anyone was develop by applying a LAN and tablets that are actively introduced at educational sites to reduce the costs.
