A Reduced SteadyState Oscillation P&O Algorithm for MPP Tracking of PV cell

A new reduced SteadyState Oscillation P&O algorithm is proposed in this paper for enhancing the convergence speed, continuous tracking of maximum power from the photovoltaic (PV) cell and reduces the oscillation in SteadyState. The proposed algorithm uses variable step size unlike the fixed step size in conventional P&O algorithm. DC-DC boost converter is acting as an interfacing device between PV cell and load. The proposed algorithm is validated with the help of MATLAB Simulation of PV module for constant as well as changing irradiance condition and compared with the conventional P&O at different perturbation size.
