Application of Response Surface Method in Reliability Analysis of Trestle-type Shore Connecting Structure

Based on the engineering geological condition of muddy coast of Tianjin Port,ANSYS finite element numerical model is built to analyze trestle-type shore connecting structure. On the basis of PDS module sampling results,response surface equations are created against three failure modes,which are the limiting states of the bearing capacity of foundation pile,the structural displacement and the tie-point strength between breast wall and approach trestle. Calculation is made to get the sensitivity that random variable influences structural reliability and the reliability of shore connecting structure under different failure modes. Relevant suggestions were raised to optimize the design of shore connecting structure.
