理工医结合，培养复合型、高素质生物技术人才

According to the characteristics of biotechnology, and the joint advantage of science, technology, and medicine of our university, as well as the characteristics of biotechnological relevant industry in central China area, we determined the objective orientation of the biotechnology major in our college, namely: serving the biotechnology industry, such as biological energy and biological manufacturing chemical industries, cultivating urgent needed innovation talents with high capability of research and development. Based on this understanding, we reconstructed our biotechnology major in the aspect of courses system, exquisite course construction, teachers' team promotion, and practice training procedure construction, increased students' competitiveness and resilience, and promoted the healthy development of higher education of biotechnology.
