Magnetic resonance imaging in small animal practice Part 2: Applications

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), an advanced imaging modality that does not use ionising radiation, produces detailed cross-sectional images of body tissues. Part 1 of this article reviewed the principles of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and discussed the ways in which the image processing can be manipulated to increase the amount of diagnostic data obtained. Familiarity with the terminology in that article will be assumed.
