Research on Optimization Method of Instantaneous Speed State Characteristics of Diesel Engine Based on Genetic Algorithm

The instantaneous speed signal of diesel engine contains a lot of information about the operation of the machine. However, the early fault information in the instantaneous speed signal of diesel engine is weak and can not be directly used for diagnosis. An optimization method of instantaneous speed state characteristics of diesel engine based on genetic algorithm is presented. Six dimensionless characteristic parameters of instantaneous signal of diesel engine are applied as original features into the algorithm, and the best feature parameter can be obtained, which can improve the accuracy of fault recognition. The experimental results show that the power unbalance fault of the diesel engine with amplitude of more than 15% can be diagnosed with the optimized characteristic parameters.
