Guest editorial: Special issue on the 2009 IEEE Pacific Rim Conference on Communications, Computers and Signal Processing

The IEEE Pacific Rim Conference on Communications, Computers and Signal Processing (PACRIM) is a biennial event that focuses on leading edge research in each of the above disciplines. The inaugural conference was held in Victoria, BC, Canada, in 1987, and was chaired by Dr. Vijay K. Bhargava, FIEEE. Since then, this international conference continues to be highly successful, attracting participants from many Pacific Rim countries and around the world.
