The Application of Urban Reclaimed Water in Flotation of Copper-Molybdenum Ore of Wushan

Forced by a serious lack of water resources in Wushan, the thought of using urban reclaimed water as a new water resource for flotation operations was creatively put forward by Wushan copper-molybdenum ores dressing plant. Without changing the original reagent system, flotation experiments were carried out by using three different levels of water(Manzhouli reclaimed water, quality standard less than Level 1 B;Hailaer reclaimed water, quality standard Level 1 B;Manzhouli reclaimed water treated by ozone). Experimental results showed that copper and molybdenum was difficult to be separated by using Manzhouli reclaimed water which quality standard didn't meet Level 1 B standard, but good results were achieved not only in copper-molybdenum bulk flotation but also in the separation of copper and molybdenum by using the other two kinds of water. So the water which meets the quality of Level 1 B could be successfully used in the flotation circuit of Wushan copper-molybdenum plant. These studies have a great comprehensive benefits and extensive demonstration significance.
