Small signal analysis of wind power system considering induction motor mechanical transient process

To research effect of wind farm with induction machine on the stability of power system,a linear mathematical model for small signal stability analysis of single machine infinite system considering induction machine mechanical transient process is presented.A power flow computation based on simplified RX iteration arithmetic is performed to obtain stable-state value.The effects of the change of compensation capacitor and line impedance on system eigenvalue are analyzed.Results show the above parameters variation can greatly affect system small signal stability.A simulation model is built by Matlab and time domain analysis are performed under different parameter conditions,and correctness of theoretical analysis is proved.It provides a theoretical reference for stable and safe operation of grid-connected wind farm.
