Discussion on the Impact of Jiuquan Wind Power Project on the Economic Benefit & Operation Management of Power Grid Enterprises

After all the wind power units totaling 5 500 MW of the Jiuquan first-phase wind power project are put into operation,some technical problems will arise,including the wind power transmission capacity,power consumption,FM peak load regulation,system stability and others.In addition,the power transmission project will substantially increase the construction and operation costs of power grid,which will bring significant impact on the economic benefits and operation management of the provincial power grid company.This paper calculates the variation of construction and operation cost of power grid caused by wind power collection transmission projects,analyzes the influences of large-scale wind power development on power grid company's operation management and economic benefit,and proposes some suggestions on perfecting relevant policies.
