An Analysis of the Influence on Hydraulic Performance as Axial Moving of Impeller Inside a Double-suction Centrifugal Pumps

The relative position of impellers and chambers has an unnegligible function in energy conversion of centrifugal pumps,has a critical influence on the performance of pumps.This paper changes the axial position of the impellers in the chamber.The influence of relationship between axial movement of impeller and performance of pump is analyzed through a numerical simulation.The research results indicate that the centrifugal pump heads and shaft power reduce gradually,while efficiency reduces slightly along with the impeller axial distance increases gradually.
