Engineering a scientific image processing toolbox for the Macintosh II

An image processing toolbox for the Macintosh II computer is described. The design specifications and implementation are discussed in terms of functional and user interface aspects. The system's capabilities and performance are described, and an illustration of the use of the system's tools to accomplish a complex image processing task is presented.
