Systems Integration for Total Quality Management

ABSTRACTThis paper presents guidelines for a systems approach to total quality management. The basic characteristics of a system as they relate to quality management are discussed. A procedure is described for implementing the Triple C principle of communication, cooperation, and coordination to facilitate total quality management throughout an organization. The role management should play in ensuring total quality management is outlined. Discussions are also presented on the concepts of continuous process improvement, continuous measurable improvement, and quality function deployment.
